Anxiety, OCD, Panic – Here is How I can help

Panic attack, anxiety, OCD are symptoms I see quite regularly. However with kinesiology, the symptoms are simply part of a story. A subconscious story that drives our behaviour. So we never treat the symptoms, we treat the person as a whole unique being. These symptoms I mentioned above are usually fear based and an attempt to create certainty in an uncertain world. But here is the thing. It is all an illusion and it is keeping stuck and paralysed in a life you don’t want because the certainty of the life you don’t want is better than the fear of…

Anxiety – Another perspective.

When Anxiety shows up for a client I often ask them ‘why should you have anxiety right now?’ ‘Why should it be showing up in your body at this point in time?’ More often than not its because the client has not stopped and listened to the wisdom and the insight the body as to offer. They have pushed too hard, for too long disregarding the messages from the heart. So the next time you feel anxious, in an active meditation, close your eyes and focus. Focus on the anxiety. Focus on the what your body is doing but then…

Winter and Supporting Yourself in the Coming Months.

I have many clients at the moment coming to see me concerned that they are feeling the need to retreat. This is perfectly normal at this time of year and is nothing to be alarmed about. Perhaps there is no need to ‘let go’.

I am sure you have seen advice and inspiration, suggesting the need to “let go” of emotions that you have carried around with you for a long time that no longer serve you. Emotions that bear down on you like a brick loaded back pack. You know which ones I am talking about. Anger, resentment, hurt to name a few. I have posted many quotes and blogs suggesting exactly this and I do agree with this. Carrying these toxic emotions as Nelson Mandala suggests “is like drinking poison and then hoping it will kill your enemies.” So if you can…

Adieu Winter.

Winter is a season that definitely affects us and while it’s now coming to an end, we’re still very much in a period where many women are feeling physically and emotionally out of balance. What can assist with this and help you to come out of the winter rut feeling alive and vibrant? As a little background information regarding the very basics of TCM, the Chinese revolve their lives around 5 seasons: Summer, Late Summer, autumn, Winter and Spring. These are respectively represented by the 5 elements; fire, earth, metal, water and wood. Each element has a corresponding yin organ…

Embracing Uncertainty.

For me uncertainty was something I feared for years. So much so, I used to chronically worry about what would happen if my deepest fears became a reality. How would I manage? How would I cope?  Amongst many fears, one thing I chronically worried about in my 20s was death. I feared death.  Not so much my death but the death of those I loved deeply. The fear of losing those I loved, created a great deal of anxiety for me. As a consequence, life fast became a journey to minimise loss. I did everything to minimise loss and planned and…
